Birthday[]

I can't beleive that Tom Nook's birthday is on march the 28th! I've heard villagers talking about his birthday being on the 28th of this month (in wild world), but they say it all year long. Can anyone prove Nook's birhtday? Dab 15:39, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Knowbody talked about Tom Nooks birthday on my game! i guess knowbody on my game likes him.[Ms.Disscussion}
Nobody talked about him on March 28th on my game either! Strange. GameLord 08 19:13, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Species[]

He is a Tanuki, but that's just Japanese for Raccoon, not difrent things. —Preceding unsigned comment added by YokoTheWolf (talkcontribs)

Actually, tanuki is Japanese for a type of 'raccoon dog' as I hear it. GameLord 08 19:13, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
Based on what I have seen a tanuki is a racoon-dog that turns furniture into leaves. That explains why furniture looks like leaves on the ground and in your pockets.
Hope I helped, Acyoshi
Knock Knock, Who's there? You Know! You know who? NO I'M NOT VOLDEMORT! I AM ACYOSHI! 17:31, March 14, 2010 (UTC)
No, tanuki is the japanese name for the Japanese Racoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides viverrinus). Turning furniture into leaves may be a part of the japanese mythology, since the tanuki is part of the Japanese Folklore. Gabriel a.k.a. Tomasto1 17:37, March 14, 2010 (UTC)

Villain in the Nintendo Power Awards[]

Can we please add in the fact that Tom Nook was actually nominated as one of the top villains in the annual Nintendo Power Awards in I think March of 2003? It seems like something worth noting. Weedle McHairybug 02:38, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Do you have a link to reference to? I honestly doubt he was nominated as a top villain... He's not actually evil :/ - MerrytonRyan 09:21, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Volume 166 of Nintendo Power, page 94, section W: Best New Villain, number 9. It's not a link, but it's definitely from the magazine itself. Weedle McHairybug 12:00, April 16, 2010 (UTC)
Is it possible to get a scanned copy? Would be interesting :) - MerrytonRyan 16:01, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

Story removed 24/08/10[]

What shall we do with stories like the one I had to remove earlier? They're kinda informative, and the time they seem to be so long-winded it's unlikely people would actually bother reading them (if true). Another special character (Resetti, I think) had a huge list of quotes on his page, but I think that got deleted too. - MerrytonRyan 20:56, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Resetti has a page for quotes from WW and CF. Blathers has them on his page, by the way. Super (duh...)AlpacaDoggie Mask 21:32, August 24, 2010 (UTC)
This was mindless woffle than individual quotes. The story is already summed up, so it seems a bit unnecessary, especially about 1,000 words worth :P - MerrytonRyan 21:36, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Subcatergories (Nook)[]

I think that we should add sub-headings about his appearance in each game, like "In Wild World" or "In City Folk". I think there are headlines like that in most other special character pages. I just think this because Nook's main paragraph doesn't seem very informative on his appearances in all the games.

Trick[]

I Know a little trick when asks you to do his jobs. well, O.K. the trick is to meet your Villagers before checking out your house. then when your on your first job, go up To the town hall and Tortimer should be there. and as soon as your done planting, Go to Tom nook's Shop and He will tell you to do your first delivery.

For people who have a lot of villagers, I'd recommend this trick for you. (Hsuthe 11:20, June 2, 2011 (UTC))

Pajamas and Coming out at Night[]

Does Tom Nook really come out at night wearing pajamas? If so, I would like to know how to do this and would like if there were a picture or a link posted so I could see it. 75.27.38.167 15:27, June 29, 2011 (UTC)

Yup this is definately possible BUT it's only for the japanese gamecube version.
Check it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBf816AQNpc&feature=related —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mitzelflx (talkcontribs)
I did it once and I have wild world. I think you have to go in at midnight and bang the shovel three times at the back of the shop. Also I think it has to be a golden shovel you use. I'm not sure though but I post here when I find out. 31.185.131.156 15:54, December 21, 2011 (UTC)
He does indeed. I have AFe+ on hand, and can confirm it. I once edited the article with the % inflation but it appears to have been removed. Taliseth 04:36, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
And subsequently I cannot remember if it was 20% or 30. Perhaps someone else was editing at the time and my changes were lost. I seem to remember tidying up the entire page but it has been completely reversed! Taliseth 04:39, December 19, 2011 (UTC)
