Dōbutsu no Mori(Or Animal Forest in English) is the name of the Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo 64 released only in Japan. This game was translated and ported to the Nintendo Gamecube because the Nintendo 64 was at the end of its life, and because of that sales would have been affected if it were released on the Nintendo 64. This game is compatible with the Expansion Pak and has a sharper image when it is used. This is due to the number of pixels in its resolution being multiplied by 4, from 320x240 (quarter of a normal television's resolution) to 640x480 (the exact resolution of a television).
