Villagers are the main NPCs(Or None Player Character) in the Animal Crossing Series. They live scattered around the Town, and usually enjoy chatting with the Player, and doing the same things the Player does, like Fishing and Digging for Fossils, and will sometimes challenge the Players to contests to see who can do it the best, like to see who can catch a certain Fish first. They are, as the name of the series suggests, all Animals, and come in a huge variety of appearances, from Mice to Elephants.
Villagers also come in several personalities, some are rather nice, and some are grouchy. But all of them are nice to the Players if they get to know them well enough.
